Constantine! (Patreon)

Ok first of all, sorry for forgetting to reverse the text on the products in the mirrored reflection. Just one of those fun mistakes that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

DC asked me to join their Pride special by doing a John Constantine pinup and I was truly excited. I’ve never drawn him before and it seemed like a fun endeavor. I’ve included the sketches I sent over, which is where the more interesting insight is.

For sketch left, I wanted something that felt like a horror movie poster. Iconic hero pose, spooky and decorative elements surrounding him. The right sketch was me trying to incorporate more background environments which yall know I hate doing :). I had so much fun working with the editors to come up with fun Easter eggs and trinkets to include in his dingy bathroom. I hope y’all had a great Pride and I hope you enjoy this piece!
