Day 6 - 30 Day Challenge: WORK Work (Patreon)

Ok, so I am at my desk doing work for publication at the moment so I thought I’d use that for my daily post! I don’t want to say too much about this project but here’s a snippet into the painting process.

I’ve really enjoyed exploring digital work more, and it’s great for getting pieces to a state worth posting with great haste. Doing watercolors takes time and it means I can’t flood your notifications with posts on posts on posts as much as I’d like. That being said, getting to dive back into more watercolors as of late has reminded me so much of why I like them. There’s a quality to the shapes I get with them, the texture that I can’t seem to replicate digitally. It’s been very satisfying.

This red hoodie guy here will be scanned and edited in Procreate to give him a bit more rendering and depth, but I hope I don’t disturb too much of the organic quality of the watercolors. Wish me luck!
