Lore stuff: Gorgons are a race of humanoid monsters with snakes for hair. Their gaze turns those who they look at to stone, and they can regenerate seemingly from any form of damage.

The cure for gorgon style petrification is for the afflicted to be bathed in raw sunlight. This will result in them returning to normal!

But be warned, if left out during a full moon while petrified, the results will be grimm...
