Random lore bits: "Nightmen and Blightmares"

The mind curse known among witchdoctors as a "Blightmare" causes spellcasters to experience long, vivid, and intense nightmares. A side effect of this curse, is the phenomenon called the "Nightman", a manifestation of fear, trauma, and other psychological ailments that haunts the afflicted even while awake. While this can be brought on by external cursing, it can also arise on it's own by the spellcaster themselves if a severe stress or mental illness is affecting them more than usual.

Blightmares are usually dispelled through potions and or therapy, though for some, they can haunt for years. Witchdoctors recommend therapy for those who experience blightmares regularly, and for those who only experience one every now and then, to be wary of vindictive fellow spellcasters.
