psa for free followers/members (Patreon)

I just noticed that Patreon added a (frankly pointless and misleading) option to join as a "free member". It used to be "follower" and didn't get in the way, now it literally makes things worse for everyone. I have no option to disable it on my end. Just to be crystal clear: I don't post any free content on here, only a few public announcements per year, please keep that in mind.
