Phew, didn't expect working on comics to be so time consuming, I was so naive thinking I can finish both the whole comic project AND Leroy WG sequence before February, I didn't even manage to finish the comic alone. Even with all the simplifications, very light pencil touches and reliance mainly on digital shading it still took a looot of time. I just can't keep things simple, it's my curse, it's very hard to force myself to make a classic comic with nothing but lines and flat fillings so I still ended up spending a lot of time on a pretty complex shading and even pages background design wasn't something made at a single click of a button. As a result, planning a whole 4 images post without any breaks inbetween turned out to be a bad idea, I'm taking notes here, 2 pages would be more than enough since it's already a lot of work so this is how I'll do it in future. This way it will be much easier to plan things inbetween project progress milestones.

So, half of the comiс is done! And I'm feeling pretty proud of myself. My worst fear was to make a compositionally flawed or just boring page layout as my childhood comic stories I tried to draw looked cringe at that term and my modern attempts weren't really satisfying for me as well, I mean just this couple of 2 page comics I drew in recent years. But my taste proved to be good enough to make a decent looking comic page design if I really try. I used dynamically shaped frames instead of classic rectangular ones and tried a technique with characters partially popping out from the frames for even more dynamism and it worked very well! I can pretty much call it a successful attempt. Surely my anatomy and perspective skills are not perfect enough to make it 100% flawless, also it's very hard to keep the character looking the same on every frame but I think it's still quite decent.

Sorry, no special alts here except clean textless versions because it's a comic story, I don't know what can be done here. This is also another reason why I think I shouldn't get carried away with such projects, I need to think about works potentially good for Patreon-exclusive content as well. So, despite I'd be glad to work on this comic non-stop until it's done I have to make a break and a real reason here is financial. I don't have money and need to start a new commission. It's gonna be a sexy pixel animation with some good alts but I hardly believe I can finish it before February considering how much time my latest pixel animation took me.

I hope you enjoy the first half of the comic! I promise it will be done next month and I'll move on with Leroy sequence.
