Classic Russian New Year (Patreon)

Thanks god I managed to finish that art in time! I didn't want to miss my chance to make such an idea real in time by today. 

As I mentioned before, Christmas is not very much celebrated in my country and instead we do all the same Christmas stuff with decorated trees, gifts, Santa and stuff at New Year holiday in December 31. I was dreaming to make some thematic art with Volk for that holiday for a long time and I wanted it to be very special, with well nailed cultural flavor, lots of detail and such and I think I managed to do so. 

About the art: not only it has another long waited crossover of Volk and Tex Avery wolf, it also involves the wolf from the pilot episode of Nu Pogodi or better say the show's predecessor with the same name and the same idea which appeared in a first episode of "Funny Carousel" series in 1969 in a form of three very shirt stories. The wolf in that cartoon looks nothing like Volk we all know but the connection is there anyway so I came up with my personal headcanon that it's a Volk's father. It can't be the same character but they can be two characters which are close relatives. I very much wish it to be real as there's not so many good father/son couples in cartoons which I can ship together. 

Another important detail about that art is that it was heavily inspired by some VERY sexy sticker from an OFFICIAL 2015 New Year Nu Pogodi sticker pack. I don't know how they came up with such idea but it's insanely amazing. The sticker image is in the end of the post, the writing on it says "I'm Lit!", pretty much self-explanatory, haha. 

It's pretty much a classic drawing but still I managed to do some dirty alts of it. Some hairy ones, plus some musk, snout growth and big black lower lip, I hope you enjoy it and happy New Year to all of you! Big thanks to everyone who were here with me no matter what, it was a very hard year, full of mistakes, hardships, serious life changes and stress but fortunately I managed to overcome it by the end of the year, not without your help of course. I still feel a bit unstable and concerned but there's a much bigger hope now that 2023 will be a much better year for me.
