Shoe-faced guys (Patreon)

That idea was started by my friend Banditails about 2 years ago. He made some little art with him being trapped by living shoe. Then that idea was quickly catched by another guy Duster. And now, when I got myself into fandom and befriended with both of them I catched the vibes and made my own special variations of that idea.

The first one is shoe-trapped Banditails the Fox himself.
He is a toony guy, who loves funny and emotional things, so I decided to choose bright pallete for him in a contrast with Duster's soft colors and Bazil's dark colors. Why actually cactuses and old Western fonts? Well, I think that spiny lines of Banditails fur made me to think about cactuses, also his warm colors, red neckerchief and the name BANDIT-ails itself gived me that old Western vibes as well, and y'know, Wild West is not a Wild West without cactuses.
I used two sets of old cacti photo postcards from my collection to made that collage. One is 1972 and second is 1974

The second one is Sneaker-faced Duster.
He loves soft pastel collors, and it made me think that flowers is the best option here. I used my collection of old 80-90th soviet magazines about farming and gardening to pick up some flower photos and made some scans. Background is made from a scan of old book back cover.
The fonts itself are all old too as you can see, I chose some hi-tech styled ones, I think they fit my ferret friend's style the best.

And the last one is my Bazil Racoondog. As a guy who lives in some cold and rough country I used my working boots and wool socks instead of a snickers like in other two artworks with my pals. I used to wear it for 6 month in a row every year until the weather is warm so it's a good option for this idea.
I love dark disgusting colors and violet/green match is one of my favorite, so I did it this way. In comparison with my Duster and Banditails shoe-face portraits I chose heavier fonts that look like a more typical old soviet ones for Bazil. Also as Duster's and Banditails's portrait is decorated with flowers and cactis, mine have a mushrooms, cuz...Well, mushrooms are weird and look gross sometimes and it fits the colors here too.
