I have been making mods for many different games for years now and so  far I don't think you can make a living from making mods. Its always a  wave when it comes to views and popularity and for me it seems to always  just be a straight line when it comes to the mods that I have made in  the past years it just feels like it just does not seem to increase and  with how much time that I put into making these mods I am not sure what I  should do.

Should I continue to do this and hope for the best or maybe I should  stop and do something else?

I think you didnt get lucky actually, I already spent more than a thousand in comissions, usually games that are new or in hype are the ones that have more comissions, for example, I know a xcom modder that did 6 mods for me, that you cant even schedule things with him, because he is filled with comissions two months in advance.
