OH MY GOD.

2023 can go away. Happy New Year, and I'll see a lot of you in the flesh tonight at the UC Berkeley Theater. WE ARE GONNA STREAM (and delete!) the show...and I've just announced this all over social media.

But what I haven't told social media is that I've spent most of the day in disbelief and crying because I am losing not one but two people right now.

Right now.

I can tell you all the real details later...but today is just a grief-fest.

I've just lost someone - a total surprise - very near and dear to me in New Zealand, someone who I was just about to visit, and I'm about to lose one of my closest and oldest friends in Boston.

Everything everywhere and nowhere all at once.

I am going to pull my shit together for this show, I've done it before and I'll do it again.

But please, if you're coming, scream extra loud. We need all the love we can get tonight.

I love you all so much. This fucking day. I have no words.

The dolls have CONFERRED and there are so many people ALL around the world who are sad to miss the New Years Show (and so many people just alone in their houses tonight, or staying in because **name a reason**)…AND WE HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY….so we’ve decided to LO-FI STREAM THE WHOLLLLE NIGHT ON INSTAGRAM.

We’ll be broadcasting live from The UC Berkeley Theater from around 9pm til about 12:30am. This is not a high-budget undertaking, folks, just our pals handing an iphone around all night and trying to catch the magic. Tune in and have a blast in the comments with whoever shows up. And since we’re playing new songs, we are gonna delete the whole stream the minute it’s over, so you’re there….or you weren’t.
