FIRST, I'm gonna do an ASK ME ANYTHING Webcast from 11:11am til about 1pm! I'm gonna try to broadcast from the new pop-up, but might just do it from the kitchen :). I havem't done one of these in a few months. There's a LOT to ask and talk about...come come come. Bring a poem.

It's a FIVE DOLLAR SHOW and this band, Amadou and M'Bollo, is AMAZING!!!! 

Officially: "An evening of music from Amadou Diallo + M'Bollo with  rhythms of Senegal, Mali and Guinea."

MBollo consists of Theo Schikowitz on upright bass, Benjy Bruno and Matthew Albeck on guitar, and Amadou Diallo on Djembe and Gongoma drums. Amadou has been living in America since 2001 and began by teaching African roots drums in the Hudson Valley, collaborating with a great many different groups playing a wide variety of music. MBollos songs are written by Amadou; some are Sufi songs, others are love songs or songs about peace.
