It's times like this when being busy doing what you love gets you through, and much of that is being on fire and depressed both...I'm always most creative when there's a boat load of emotional stormy shit happening...I have to admit, watching your shows on Periscope have been an incredible treat! I wish I could have physically ventured out to see you play this time, but another chance will come around, and I'll get my creaky old body suited up to come out n' have some fun!

Watching Chicago now before a tennis match this afternoon. The world needs you to be exactly who you are at this moment in time.

Thank you so much for being in MN last night!! What a wonderful show. I was telling my boyfriend that your Patreon is the reason I'm writing again and he felt inspired by your show. Keep fighting the good fight.

You speaking about Patreon at the Chicago show reminded me that I finally have a debit card so I can finally support. Thank you for an amazing show. Thank you for being you. Thank you for showing us so much love, even in the hardest of times. Thank you for telling me good job. Thank you.

So I'm listening to the Periscope from the other night and I'd really get behind an "Everybody Knows" cover being a "thing" on Patreon. I loved it live and I love listening to it on Periscope. Anyone else? Whaddya think?

I'm so in shock. Still. I woke myself up in my middle of the night last night chanting a fevered prayer. Seriously. Fighting depression by making lots of art, pledges to causes, signing petitions, walking, and even though I'm not religious, I'll pray to any deity that'll listen. Yeah. Thank you for what you give us. I wish I was in a city where you were touring. I suspect it's just what the soul needs. Much love and gratitude to you Amanda.

"Depressed but on fire" is kind of my mantra for the month of November.

November? how bout all of 2016: Bowie, Lemmy, Frye, Prince, Emerson & now Len, all gone not a good year.

Until I saw this post I wasn't sure if the 2-page printout of 'Democracy' that I picked up as people were dismantling the Leonard altar after the Toronto show was the one Neil read from and then added to the pile, but I guess it was. (It is precious, no matter who it came from, and I've tucked it in to the 'Who Killed Amanda Palmer' book that you signed for me as you hauled your very tired butt down the last of signing line so that they could get people out of the venue by midnight. THANK YOU again for that.) Despite my tendency to hide in my blanket fort when things are this shittastic, I needed those words and your music — and the words of the lady from Planned Parenthood — that night, and the company of a room full of love. Nothing is okay, and it's not going to be for a while. But we can work, and we can encourage the people who need to be encouraged, and support the causes that need our support more now than ever. And we can make art. Keep busy. Keep moving. Keep going. Keep making.

THAT'S IT EXACTLY . . keep creating, keep busy, keep supporting.
