here it is, my friends.

real life...i'd like to remind you that this literally would not have happened if i hadn't had the backing of all of you here on patreon to inspire me & jherek bischoff to create the "strung out in heaven" EP in the first place. your patronage meant that we could throw caution to the wind, run into the studio to do something impulsive, and look what it got us. a fucking invitation to one of the most famous and respected stages ON THE PLANET.

so, remember, please: this patreon - and your faith in us - is making such incredible real moments, one synchronicity at a time.

thank you, thank you, thank you, for inspiring so much art and life into being.

"The truth is of course is that there is no journey. We are arriving and departing all at the same time." - david bowie

here and now, my comrades. here and now.

I'm cuddled up with my cat on this lazy Saturday morning. When you come in with the big "I" at about 1:14, her head popped up from her snooze, eyes wide, ears perked. My cat is very discerning, she knows a great moment when she hears it!

That was fucking beautiful. I really wish I had been there :(

I was there and loved it! Seeing you and John Cale, my two favourite artists, on the same stage – celebrating the work of another musical hero of mine, Bowie – was something I had never even dared to dream of. And now you're telling me that my humble contribution somehow led to making it happen? Wow...

Darling - just thank you. And i extend that to all the stellar musicians and artists who made this night so magic. Somewhere, somehow, i think a lone, thin, white, duke-type figure, is very fulfilled and at peace

I loved this concert. I hope that some of the other videos will become available on YouTube too. (I know they're on iPlayer, but that will only be for the next month or so.) I was very excited when the conductor said that it was inspired by the EP. Amazing! And amazing to see you AND Jherek on TV!

Watching this just gave me the "oh shit" moment about the state of things. That this is the same artist of that little band, the Dresden Dolls. That CD I leaned on more than any other at 14. Art that made me feel more okay about myself. It was so localized then. And wow. Here we are.

beautiful. i got chills.

Charlotte, I feel the same way and keep thinking the same kind of thing...especially now with The Dresden Dolls performing shows again, new songs, amongst the continuing art and lives of everyone.. fans included...it's incredible. It wasn't all that long ago, really, but wow. So much wow on so many levels.
