alex helps me with internet stuff and in the UK when i'm there, and when we did this last surprise dad show (which was awesome), we realized we had like 10 or 12 boxes of old shirts and posters that were just sitting in a UK warehouse gathering dust.

and i was like...it'll cost a gazillion dollars to ship it to the states and sell it online from my merch store, not really worth it. and i don't have a UK merch store. BUT I HAVE ALEX'S APARTMENT! so we decided that the best thing to do would be to sell the stuff from alex's apartment. ALL of the posters are signed by me (and some by neil) and there's some super old-school weird tour merch that just got trapped in time.  especially you guys in the UK, snap it up while the gettin's good. people from ANYWHERE can order this stuff, but the shipping in the UK is cheapest! and to boot, i'll be back in the UK in a few weeks so i'm PERSONALIZING anything you want, if you wanna get a weird gift for a friend, etc.

alex is going to pack everything up with his own two hands and add little presents.

ok. now THIS!!! AMERICANS! UPSTATE NEW YORKANS! NEW YORKANS! MASSACHUSETTANS! PEOPLE WILLING TO BE CRAZY AND COMEANS!!!

i fucked up and i overlooked this announcement massively and didn't send it direct to the patreon when i announced it, totally defeating the main purpose, but it's late and late is fine and i'm spinning out and baby and whatever....& you may have already gotten this via mailing list.

BUT:

as you guys know I have these five tiny little shows coming up with my dad and i'll be traveling around a bit from DC to Boston to NYC with him and a little crew (including Thor & Friends).

i'm decided to throw a FREE-TO-ALL TOWN HALL-STYLE COMMUNITY MEETING in HUDSON, NY on the DAY OF THE DAD SHOW: july 23rd, at 3:30.....which is TEN DAYS FROM TODAY.

i've been feeling quite discombobulated and disconnected from

things...lost in baby-world...and haven't had as much time to blog and

ask and communicate on the level that i'm used to with y'all. 

it's also dark times in america and i wanna be with my people.

i thought it might actually be fun to try something NEW...a real-time hang with you guys (anyone who wants to come, really)...where we just sit in a group and we talk about whatever's on anybody's minds....especially in the realm of AFP, patreon, politics of the internet, Facebook and its clutches, group dynamics, baby-world, the dresden dolls reunion, the new music that's going to be coming out this year...anything, really.

i've got no plan, yo. basically a Q&A open forum where we can *talk* (and hug). i got in the habit of doing this at the house parties sometimes and it's always pretty awesome – the conversation can go anywhere.

what's more...melissa auf der maur, who runs the basilica (which is the venue that i'm playing in hudson) has generously offered the space, for free, before my show that day.

SO

this meeting will be OFFLINE, not streamed or live-tweeted, just a get-together and talk with people, hopefully a lot of patrons (i.e. YOU).

i'll bring my ukulele, duh....

hudson , NY is a three hour drive from boston and a two hour DIRECT train ride

from NYC and less than an hour from Albany...the venue is across the

street from the station!

if you've never been to upstate new york and want AN EXPERIENCE, just come.
