hello loves....

it's been a hectic few days and next week will be no different - i'm in the studio now 24/7 making this record with edward ka-spel god-hero-etc-etc.... we're 9 songs deep and today was the day i stopped and looked at edward and was like HOLY SHIT. THIS RECORD IS ACTUALLY A THING. ITS A REALLY GOOD THING. HOLY SHIT. and he was like I KNOW! I KNOW!...and we were really happy. we have made a really real good thing. and it's got five more days left to become what it is and then it will be what it is going to be forever. it could be a good long while before it comes out (probably not until next spring) but don't worry. you'll know. 

writing with him is so surreal, guys. i talk about it a little bit on the webcast, but it's like peeking into a theater production of my past. he wrote the music of my teenage life soundtrack and actually *making* songs with him...there's no words. it's like being in cartoon-god's workshop and watching him be like "hmmm where's the green clay?i was gonna make trees...i need brown clay? fuck, where did i put my pink clay? oh shit, i'm out of pink clay. i'll use this towel insteads...." and you're like....ughhhhh....ahhhhh...eeeeeeeee cartoon-god doesn't have his shit together. uh-mazing.

here's the link to the $10+ webcast i did from imogen heap's house the other day. we encountered a bit of visual lagginess but we edited out the most annoying bits and the audio is pretty much all there. highlights: me singing "it's my webcast and i'll cry if i want to" at one point, and several songs written on the spot on the mbira, including one about the german world "schadenfreude". good times, i'm telling you.

about the PROMS! jherek bischoff and i are playing THE PROMS (!) on july 29th and while the actual "tickets" are sold out, 1600 tickets will be available the day of the show for very cheap, but you have to QUEUE (heehee), which is the way of the proms. the info is here:

there's a few suprise-things in the chest for the coming months...i'm getting online at night after my 8 hour sessions with edward and dinner and baby-feeding and staring at my email inbox going uuuuuuuuuhhhhhh but i'm trying to push things forward. i must. i must. i must increase my things.

one of the THINGS that i'm really trying to get off the ground, by request from you guys but also because i think it will be incredible, is a PODCAST, and i'm seeking a really deft producer slash sound designer who can do the deed. if you have any really good ideas, tell me. it's got to be something pro and incredibly special (like...they can hit you in the feels with their ninja editing skills and also know how to cold-call an autistic scientist to get an interview. you know that person?)
