hello dears....

greetings from a rainy UK day deep in studio-land at imogen's house with edward - IT SOUNDS SooooooO GOOD. loops!! LOOPS! loops. we are making loops. delicious loops. fruity loops. cloudy loops. i'll try to get a little video...

yesterday morning, on about 4 hours sleep, i did my best to deliver a sermon to a group of equally bleary-eyed londoners care of alain de botton's "school of life" series...i think, all told, it went quite well. i played "mother's confession", we sang "mad world" and "purple rain" as hymns, and i fapped my hands around and talked about how this baby has reminded me how we forget that we're tribal - that we are engineered to work as a group, and how deeply we've fucked that up lately.

my closing line:

"my son...he's almost nine months now, and is just a constant reminder of this:

it's amazing what happens when you do something, some small action, to small to

remind the strangers-who-arent-stangers around you that you actually,

implicitly trust them to be good."

honestly: best was actually getting to sign afterwards, meeting 6 other miniature human babies and in-utero babies, and hugging A LOT OF YOU...there were at least a few dozen patrons at the event and it was so nice to touch you all. not in a creepy way. the photo here is of me and michelle morgan, who's JUST about to have her small human and posted this picture.,,,not pictured: i drew a flower on her belly button.
