I can just imagine the comfort and the quiet. I love that big fancy places don't sit right with you. It's a fantastic admission, not because it isn't true, but it makes me smile to think you're happiest and most at home cocooned in comfortably worn blankets, laying with a metal bar beneath your back that's barely concealed underneath the thin mattress of a pull-out bed. This is just one of the reason you mean so much to me.

My husband and I were just talking about this last night - musicians that make music in snazzy studios w/ a large budget vs ones that work with more basic equipment/small budget. Both are completely valid ways of making music, they just result in different kinds of music (neither of which is more valuable than the other). One of our favorite bands makes music the snazzy, high budget way and the music they produce is absolutely gorgeous, almost too perfect. It conveys emotion extraordinarily effectively, but there's also a bit of human element lacking from it. I guess I'd describe it as carefully curated, not terribly organic? And then on the other end of the spectrum you've got music made in someone's bedroom, finished in one take, made with little equipment. It's going to be a world apart in sound, but you'll also feel more like the music is speaking directly to you. There is beauty in that that no amount of *perfected* music can approach.

You're running around with Edward Ka-Spell and famile and musing about why this is so much more fantabulous than being in a fancy lonely hotel room...swEEEeeet! I wish I were going to be in London to see you lot—AND the nifty 1-woman Richard III ! I was working today with my headphones on and a song came on and I was listening with "one ear" whilst talking to someone about how something might be done, and i realized that they were staring at me waiting for me to finish my sentence and i had been silent and transfixed by the music on my iphone.... it was Machete playing. I snapped out of it and put it on the Bluetooth speaker for us all to enjoy. Powerful &amp; passionate, my dear. As you are.

I feel so warm and fuzzy inside thinking about what you and Edward are creating. I cannot wait hear and feast on it! I'm a long time LPD fan too, way before Desden Dolls and your music came into my life. Edwards voice got me through those oh so wonderful high school years and through life up till now. You and Edward just seem like a dreamy dream come true! Only other musical partner ship that would leave me in complete dizziness would be you and Robert Smith... One could dream right? Which I have to say, I know you are a Cure fan as welll, I'll be seing them in 2 nights! And I will think of you when they play in Between Days or something.
