i’m about to go live online for an hour-long discussion with my mate eli pariser, one of the smartest smartypants i know from TED, a man who stood on a stage and directly asked the CEOs from google and facebook, years ago, to please do better so the internet wouldn’t tear us apart. he helped found moveon.org and upworthy.com to try to make the internet a nice place to be, and to give people tools to make real change in the world using the net. we will talk about ALL of this, and what’s coming up - for better or worse - this week with the election. please join!!!! the cast is already filling up - please ask a question!!

timing ?? a few days ago, after waiting for AGES for a postal absentee ballot that never, ever came to my p.o. box in new zealand, we figured out (that’s we, because my amazing assistant michael mccomiskey helped me every step of the way) that i could technically SCAN AND SEND MY BALLOT now that i’m a resident visa holder here in aotearoa new zealand. this is a video of me praying to god that my vote would be counted ...
