hey loves

please check in here ... i’ll be reading tomorrow on the love drive

greetings from me collapsing in bed in canberra to get you early and do it again tomorrow in the blue mountains. the show was epic - you get the australian audience prize so far. you were just fucking WONDERFUL. thank you ... so much. i’m fried. but it was one for the books. i think i cried 6 times.

here‘s our ninja photo (above) and post-show photo - sorry i forgot to announce on stage that we were taking it ... EVERYBODY coming to the rest of tour  : we are always gonna meet at stage after the show always !

(both group shots by hayley rosenblum, whos on the road with us!!)

and here are some great screen grabs for instragram from today’s ninja in the park.

there were some truly beautiful moments but i’m too tired to get into it....

suffice to say

canberra - amazing. just amazing.

i love you all....don’t forget to point sydney friends to the “ask me anything“/community town hall event that i just added on sunday at 3:30. tickets are $15 and it’s gonna be a really good conversation:

Thanks Amanda, that was a truly amazing show 💕 I really needed a hug afterwards but didn’t know how to ask...oops. I made the wonderful self care decision that this was my last ever big theatre gig. I have sensory issues (misophonia and misokinesia) that are getting worse as I get older. It really, really sucks to be that triggered introvert who can’t just be in the moment during a show. It’s also sad and ok and it is what it is. Loving that this show was my last hurrah...I made it through and this experience will be with me for a long time! Love you, your work is so important 💕

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you for my hug and for not judging me too harshly for telling you something you would have obviously already known about my Critical Role t-shirt. The show was absolutely incredible. I hadn't heard the stuff from There Will Be No Intermission before because I knew that I wanted to hear them live for the first time. I'm so grateful to you for that album, but Machete in particular because I'm literally going through that at the moment with my Mum's stuff. Thank-you for the cathART! Also, shout out and thank you to the group of people who looked after me when I ran into my ex, the kindness of the Amanda Palmer fan-mily actually blew me away yesterday. You are ALL amazing humans!!!

Amanda thank you thank you thank you for giving so much of yourself to us last night. It was so deeply personal and so emotional, but done in such a way to hold space for us in dark times too - I applaud you for that. I came by for the Patrons photo afterward but I don’t see myself in this one - I wanted to talk and say thanks and give you a hug but was feeling tired myself so decided to sneak off after the photos. It’s quite incredible to have an artist come from across the seas and express things going on in our country so eloquently and to reflect our rage and fear. I felt so catharted singing (screaming!) beds are burning. Needed it. Need your art. Thank you 💞

@hayley Is there any chance of the other patron photos from after the show? A couple of us left between the first photos (and your backwards selfie) and the photo that Amanda posted above. Thank you xoxo
