okay ... GODDAM I LOVE THE INTERNET!!! within moments of posting about a spot for a ninja gig in london tonight i got a message from @meginlondon via instagram, and she offered up AN ENTIRE BRITISH PUB, owned by her partner aaron. it’s called the GOLDEN LION and WE ARE TAKING IT OVER TONIGHT !!! 

the pub only holds about 200 but can spill into the street. if too many people, i have a back-up plan..see below. 

for now !!! LETS DRINK. I WILL PULL PINTS. 

aaron and meg are total sweethearts and totally psyched to host us all. theyve only been in it since SEPTEMBER, and it was slated for demolition to be made into apartments. hooray!! let’s support then and give them all our beer monies. (this is meg and aaron, your local celebrities for the evening)

i should be over there around 5:30/6. ill stay til at least 7:30/8 and who knows. i may be there til midnight. i’m jetlagged. the ways of jetlag are mysterious. you’re definitely all free to hang there til they kick you out.

i’m rusty!! ill play a little bit and do a weird amanda q&a but i mostly i wanna SEE YOU ALL 

also: ALEX IS COMING!!! he will be arriving in a taxi with a big box/bag of swag. if you see him, give him a hand. we will unload some merch on you. ill sign as much as i can without taking away from the fun. 

ill try to make an ad hoc UK tour poster for selfies. that’s my trade. i will selfie with you, but you, you must help me promote this goddam tour. DEAL???

if we head there, you’ll know, because you will go to the pub and it will not have a bazillion people in it. i will tweet if we move too. it’s a 2 minute walk from the pub to the park.

i just landed in london for 24 hours. long story which can wait. 

WANNA NINJA? i do. it’s a beautiful goddamn day!!!! LETS DO IT. 

plan on 5:30/6pm (today, wednesday july 17th) somewhere very very close to camden high street - i’ll come back and update this post by 4pm with an exact spot !!! 

bring food, beer, guitars, ukuleles, signs, kazoos, balloons, dogs, instruments of peace, children, poems, clothes you don’t need, extra fruit that’s going bad, books you want to pass on...just BRING FUN ITEMS. we can do a show and tell. 

anyone have location ideas right near camden high street? canal? zoo? park? derelict pub? anyone have a massive space idea?? 

it needs to be a space we can take over that fits infinite people....probably best to do it in the park? camden can get hella crowded. comment below ... i’ll also wander around and see what i can find. 

i also put a call out for journalists on twitter. the london shows are sold out as hell but the shows around the rest of the country are really lagging. 

the guardian has shunned me (whoohoo!!!) and won’t cover the tour - so i need to hunt down some national UK press/radio friends to write about the upcoming dates/album/whole shebang. if you know any journos, tell them to tweet me. today’s a good day to meet or talk, i have some magical spare time. here’s the tweet to send them to:
