home and aghh and ANIMATORS...ideas, anyone?? (Patreon)

hola guys finally home after three weeks away and finally clearing off my fucking desk and despairing about the emails from three months ago that i did not answer. i spent the last few days after tour in NYC staying with lance horne and meow meow in lance's apartment in new york city...cuddling with friends in bed and having a meeting with art spiegelman about a secret exciting thing that you will know about soon as can be. not a patreon thing, another thing, but a huge, great, exciting thing nonetheless. coming home from tour this time is so weird. everything's been weird, being pregnant. every time i do something i'm like: IS THIS IS? IS THIS THE LAST TIME I AM GOING TO DO THIS IN PEACE? IS MY LIFE OVER? AM I GOING TO BE MORPHED INTO A SHELL OF MY FORMER SELF? WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO MEEEEEEE??????? wait do i have mother issues.......? anyway. i'm dealing. everything in moderation. i'm actually practicing the most zen i've ever practiced. the minute i think about the future, i freak the fuck out. so i'm like: helllo, now. you're nice to be in. hi there. i'll be in you. the alternative is too fucking scary right now. hello pillow. hello keyboard. hello glass of juice. what's UP. look at us, just being here. what a miracle we are. future? what future? we HAVE NO FUTURE. we ARE A HUMAN AND A PILLOW AND A GLASS AND STUFF. BABY? what baby? i have a fetus. a fetus is not a baby. only a baby is a baby. the future does not exist. what were we talking about? I AM SO CONFUSED. anyway. who are YOU?? exactly. update on the dolls webcast ....HOLY SHIT is it beautiful and i'm just kinda stunned and sitting here going: what do we do next? we can do ANYTHING. we have MONEY! we can HIRE PEOPLE and NOT FRET AND SWEAT AND LOSE MONEY for like the FIRST TIME IN AGES?! i am beside myself. ok so. i have had this ONE idea...i got it at TED. i don't really want to spoil it because...that'll spoil it, but it requires getting a really good ANIMATOR - who can animate STORIES, not just music. think blank on blank (if you haven't seen it: WATCH THIS ONE...its janis joplin and it makes me HAPPY https://youtu.be/VdF4b1_LQnQ)/ i'm actually REALLY excited about the idea of collaborating with more animators... i've worked with two or three over the years... notably hoku uchiyama for "have you seen my sister evelyn" from "evelyn evelyn" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skUK-OlU4H0 - it's pretty COOL) and also with this great kid vince mascoli for "sandy fishnets" also from "evelyn evelyn" (also, for your refence, the HIGHEST vocals on any song ever....holy shit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmTf-l1sD_E) i'd love to actually be able to give the money/love/work to some female animators if you guys know any good ones....animation is outside my general wheelhouse so i'd love some input. i'll cross-post some of this over on facebook, too. SO MANY PLATFORMS. anyway...ANYONE HAVE IDEAS??? please post LINKS to work and not just names. it'll help.... notes: i don't really like super cutesy or super-cartoony things. the cuter it is, the more i usually hate it. on that note...i just remembered about julia pott, MAYBE WE CAN GET HER i remember seeing this attached clip "howard" and just being ..... gahhhhh.
