Early Look: 'Millie V2' (Patreon)

So around last week, a friend stumbled across an old render of a character I never really did much with.

I had put this on my WIP sta.sh around... probably when I first started my Patreon. There were some pretty great plans for her, but I ultimately scrapped them and moved it to another (which is also in some sort of limbo, but it's one I definitely do want to get around to). And really... I basically forgot about her entirely, until that friend showed me this again.

And then it just really stuck with me. No idea why, but I felt like exploring this some more. Try something new with her, ignoring whatever I had set-up for her for just a bit of fun. Which led to the... ridiculously crazy dress on the left there. While I was making it, ideas just started flowing. What for occasion would she dress like that for? Who is she meeting? Why has she gotten so big?

One thing led to another and I... I ended up writing a story. Just entirely winging it as I continued to write and led to two more entries, of which one you can also see the image of. I haven't gotten to finishing the third yet, but that's probably for when I pick this up again.

It was actually quite liberating in some way to just let loose of the reigns and just go wild, whatever fun stuff comes up in my mind. Later I kinda revised it a bit and now it's actually turning out to be a pretty neat short story (that funnily enough also helps with world-building) about two people reconnecting after a good few years, with one having undergone quite some changes. ;)
