May Preview and Bases Question (Patreon)
Content
Hello friends! I hope this message finds you well.
Thanks for the positive response on the Campaign on my previous post, and thanks for the many feedbacks! Back to our next monthly release topic, I'm happy to show you my first sculpt of the month, the Barrow Ghoul C, a Ghoul Assassin to be more precise.
Do you remember Rodburg, the city taken by the Drakenmir House of vampires? They defiled the barrows on the countryside, and raised the dead as ghoul training them during the last decades. Now, an army of Ghouls thralls to the Vampire House is ready to unleash havoc in the whole country.
The Ghoul set will include feral glow using claws and teeth to attack, Ghoul Infantry with rudimental weapons, lethal and more cunning ghoul assassins to take down the most important enemy units from the shadows, and ghoul archers using poisoned arrows. Ghoul Abominations will be also part of the set! Heroes will probably include a powerful Ghoul Lord with necromantic power and a powerful and might Ghoul pack leader. The set is designed to provided the maximum for your Roleplaying adventures or any wargame army, but also to be a powerful addition to your GUILDS factions if you play Corruption (or if you like to ally with Corruption Force!).
Bases?
My friends, as some of you may know, I personally make each one of the minis made here each month. Each miniature is hand-sculpted, and I take pride in creating a unique and high-quality piece for your collection, from the lesser minion to the most valorous hero.
However, I have been thinking about making a change to the way I create the bases for these miniatures. Normally, I would sculpt a custom base for each miniature to match its theme and story. But after years of doing this, I feel like the bases can start to look repetitive and may not add much value to your overall experience.
Therefore, I am considering providing simple plan bases of 25, 30, and 100mm sizes for my monthly miniatures, allowing me to focus more on creating better miniatures; and providing little props to customize and decorate the bases instead. For example, large pieces could be included to elevate certain heroes, or certain structures may be included below them as I always do, like in the picture of the Ghoul above. Personally, I enjoy to have trasparent simple bases below my models, so I don't change the atmosphere of the terrain I'm playing. Many subscribers I know use other system bases, and some other prefer plain ones because they can be bought online in bulk and avoid using too much resin.
First of changing the bases formula, I want to hear your thoughts on this potential change. Your feedback and opinions are important to me, and I want to ensure that I am meeting your expectations and needs. Please let me know what you think about this idea, and if you have any suggestions or concerns.
Thank you for your continued support and interest in my work. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
