Hello guys!
How's going? We wanted to make a little update to show you the progress on the Frostmetal Clan coming tomorrow, and also taking the chance to confirm that the terrain for the Sylvan Knights is live in our previous post.

Today we finally upgraded our EPIC STUDIOS. Artisan Guild "studios" is currently a room of about 2.4 x 1.2 meters.
It's pretty tiny, but we afterall we work on tiny heroes and monsters :)
Instead of having two supermini desks we made a custom plank for both, so much more space to create and work, it really feels more inspiring!
Sadly by making house quality of life updates we hit an hydraulic hose with the drill and it resulted in water EVERYWHERE :O

Here a quick sketch we did for our Orc Hero of the next month: Kentargh Grotar. This immortal Orc is a powerful warrior and necromancer, and for the first time we will have two "recently-summoned (assembled?)" skeletons.
Does this means that perhaps one day we will end up making an Undead Set? Perhaps...
Kentargh Grotar is the character I make for most games where Orcs or Half-Orcs are permitted, rocking necromantic spells, summoning skeletons and wearing heavy armors, if possible. This is expecially true for our RPG, wich is currently only a personal project started 9 years ago.

Here one of the Modular Frostmetal Ogre, a non-heroic character suited as bandit, monster, mercenary, warband members... but maybe also as player character. It looks like our huge Ogre can even be scaled down to a regular chunky Orc if you prefer so. This has been quickly "bucket" colored in Zbrush to see how it could look once painted, nothing fancy :)

The cool problem with our Ogre is  that they are really big. We decided from our first month on Patreon that the Ogre of our universe are really massive. Just look at the size of this Ogre warlord Hero... the box simulate the bed of an Anycubic Photon. It doesn't fit, but we will make some cuts hidden in the fur to split the huge Rhino and shell it. This is the Epic Beast/Mount of the next month, as regular cavalry unit we will do 3 Frostmetal Worgs with Orcs on top.

And now back to work! We hope you like the progress so far :)
Cheers!

It's looking great! Looking forward to these guys :) Since you posted a workspace shot, may I ask what pen tablets you guys use for sculpting?

Wow!! Those Orc models look incredible!!! Skeletons! Wasn’t expecting that and am very excited to have a couple in your incredible style! Thank you for all your incredible work.

Frederick A Williams

Awesome work as usual, please include an uncut version of the Ogre on the beast. :)

Kjell

Looking forward to this so much! And yes an undead set would be amazing by the lovely talents of artisan guild!

Sorry to hear about your water troubles! Guess its time to buy a fancy stud finder that can detect pipes and a/c wires ;) Love the ogre hero on wooly rhino! I never voted for the frostmetal but I always knew I would love them! Hope the summoned skeletons are a precurser to a future all undead release!

Jonathan Morales

You guys are outdoing your self with this set. I can’t wait to paint that guy up and run him as an oathbreaker paladin.

YES! MAKE SKELETONS! I BEG YOU!

I love the size of these! Work space looks cool might have to take notes for my own work space. If you don't mind me asking, What is your hardware(computer, drawing tablets, printers)?

Anonymous

This set is looking amazing! Just adding my voice that I would love to see an undead set in the future!

Amazing!

Shade13Lord

So gorgeous, I really wish I had 3D modeling skills anywhere near as wonderful as yours.

Final preview image looks great, that's an amazing design on the ogre boss. Would you mind sharing your render settings from Zbrush? It makes everything look so good with great shading.

That rhino looks epic

Mini Manatee

Francky Il Pazzo

Get a better chair!

demonwombatofdoom

Nice, I hope one of them is holding a sheep or pig like the original concept, maybe even the beauty :) P.S. agree with the others, get a better chair, don't want you to have bad back or neck so you can continue making awesome designs.

ArtisanGuild

vediamo se ci arriviamo, abbiamo tante idee ma a volte non ci entrano tutte in un set ahah

Erik Johnson

I love the peek at the “offices”! You know, normally I am not big on ogres. But that is amazing! Excited to see it printed!

This set is looking fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Rob Leonard

Looking awesome...really exited to get this set! It's really hard to pick my favorite sets, but I think this one might be in the top 5 at least. Oh, and I'll join the "skeletons please" crowd. Cheers! :)

ArtisanGuild

That was another concept, the Ironskin Ogre (before they went immortal). It's probably out of place on this set, but we keep the idea for the future :)

Anonymous

Epic! Excited for the new way you guys are doing things! Happy new studio!

Renders look amazing, but that chair on the left is making my back hurt just looking at it.

Joel Dressler

I would refuse to work from that chair on the left. Otherwise the setup looks nice and humble.

The office looks really stylish too. What kind of keyboards are those?

ArtisanGuild

Tellarium from G-Lab. I had a better mechanic one keyboard but too noisy for the apartment :) We had to get these quiete keyboard quickly eheh

Billy Capgun

Omg please make pointy metal guitars as part of the weapon pack for the Frostmetal Clan!

Robert Jönsson

I’m so happy that you’re listening to your inner voices instead of us and make that which inspire you most :) looks great!

Rob Leonard

Hey AG....I know this is a little off topic, but I was looking around for hoodies (and t-shirts) for artists I like to support and was wondering if you guys have considered making some hoodie/t-shirt designs (like with your logo or whatever) and putting them up for sale on Teespring. Just a thought :)

David Watts

Hey AG. love the sylvan knights. Was wondering if thre was any updates on the my mini factory item storage and release a few months ago. hope all is well. happy holidays!
