Hello guys! We had been recording the second part of the Tyrant Eye!
If you missed the first part this is the link of the full Tyrant Eye Playlist (record of the part 1 Live, part 2).

This is not a fancy video, the second part doesn't even have audio. We are still in the process of sculpting the last models for the next month, so we can't spend time on video editing at this stage.

In the first part Andrea is creating the mokup and explain the 3d creative process. Part 2 had been recorded without audio and had been speeded up because it was really toooooooo long.
We might make a nice short video of this in future, for the moment we hope that you enjoy skipping through it :)

Some info about Xantaras the Tyrant Eye (1 of the two heroic models of the month):

  • The flight stand is separate so you can print it in a trasparent material!
  • the Eye Stalks comes in 2 parts (left eye stalks, right ones) for easy assembly.
  • Eye Stalks have also an optional variant throwing rays and spells!
  • there's a drooling tongue optional piece for a more feral look!
  • the main body piece come in 2 variants: with sculpted pupil or blank one for the painters who like to paint it from scratch!
  • Renders will come in the next days! This model had been a true challenge and almost took as an Epic Boss to be done, please forgive us :)

    Cheers!

I’ll be honest. I loved the detail of the models before but after watching the work put into them I appreciate every wrinkle, every jagged tooth, every vein even more. Thank you for sharing your art with us.

So cool to watch. Thanks for recording and sharing with us!

Good things come to them who wait

The eyelids on the tubes are great, but creepy.

It already looks amazing! I can't wait XD

Did you go to school and learn ZBrush or is it self taught?

ArtisanGuild

self taught :) You can start from the Zclassroom in the official pixologic website. Other than that all experience, i tried Zbrush the first time in 2003 I believe!

James Swan

Awesome thanks I just bought ZBrush at comic con a few days ago and I’m excited to learn how to use the program. I’ll also check out the Zclassroom stuff as well

Michael

This plus the illithid releases are all for August, correct?
