Hello friends! YOU DID IT AGAIN! 500 on our second month? Patreon numbers must be bugged!
We unlocked a new Goal: every month one of our Heroes will get an upgraded version on a Mount! The next Mounted Heroes will be released between day 5 and 15 of the month, to give us the time to make the best sculpts for you.
This month was the turn of Alvar Giantslayer, and as you can see his mounted version is on a epic Gryphon called Thunderbeak.
Go download him now, he's on dropbox!

Remember that you can post your print and share opinion about our patreon with the community in our official facebook group!

Next Goal 600 - War Banners (Stendards for Regular Models)
Next Goal 700 -  Riderless Beast (Wild Mount without a rider)

Our Original Sketch from 2010
Just so you know... we made the first drawing of this character and his mount almost 10 years ago. And thanks to you, after all these years, we finally have a true reason to transform those dreams made of paper, pencils and bad photoshop sketches into real sculpts. Thank you. This is actually that concepts from 2010 made at Francesca's parents house one weekend while we were trying to make creature and races designs for our role playing game.

And here, the new updated picture containing all the models of this month!

Love it!!! Congratulations guys, hope we can reach next goal soon

Well now I need to order more resin! Luckily sales for me have been pretty good this weekend as well.

Awesome work!

Paul Dawkins

Can't wait to get printing this. Fantastic job as always!

Teevee

Any chance of the mount as a seperate creature?

G'day mate, this looks fantastic. Is it possible to get a version with the wings as separate pieces? Getting in to paint the legs and the back of the wings is gonna be a tough one as it is. Keep it up!

Avantyr

Could we get one with the shield+arm moved a bit so it's not inside the wing? Also, it'd be cool to have it riderless so we could mix and match with a different miniature, even if it was just them cut at the hip and we could put say one of the lady dwarf torsos on that to customize it.

Xavier

@Artisan Guild You guys are doing a fantastic job! I'm glad for your success

Teevee

wow, that was difficult to fit the model on my photon.

Greg Kourakos

I think asking for changes is effectively asking for almost a new sculpt given things beyond my pay grade for understanding but it has to with remaking meshes, fixing polygons, and "cleaning" the files (still no clue what this means) so we can print them.

ArtisanGuild

Riderless mounts will come at 700 patron Goal :) Then you will easly place another model on top and it would work good!

Anonymous

That was surprisingly easy to support for the Photon. The model 'flows' nicely in one direction reducing the amount of support needed. How much Design for 3D Printing do you guys put into your designs? Did you intend for the model to 'flow' in one direction? (If you get what I'm aksing, haha)

Raul Talmaciu

Printing it right now. Hopefully all comes well as it needs a lot of supports :)

ArtisanGuild

We try to have lines that follow some "imaginary composition diagonals" in order to have powerful compositions. Sometime those lines makes the model easier to print, but unlucky this doesn't means that it's supportless :)

Joe Kushner

Ditto post. Mounted riders are great but very specific. Mounts that double as monsters? Oh yeah.

Ondrej Masin

This looks gorgeous! I am going to print it just because I can. I wish there was a way to use it as proxy for something in AOS, but it would take a lot of imagionation. Well, its not gonna stop me anyway.

VaLiuM09

Anyone already managed to print it on FDM?
