Well, the big secret can now be revealed exclusively for you, my dear patrons:

Beakman from the hit 90s educational kids' series 'Beakman's World' is in my new video! And we crammed about a cubic ton of that show's whimsical nostalgia into 12 minutes of the most elaborate production I've ever done.

Hope you like it and tell others about it (starting tomorrow at 3PM EST, that is). Also, hope Sony doesn't sue me.

Thank you, as always, for making it possible.

Enjoy!

What a good video! That was awesome.

Wow, if I had ever seen the original show this might have meant something to me. Not a criticism, just my being old.

Anonymous

Best video yet!

Anonymous

Wow. The production values get better and better.

Oh my holly! I loved Beckman's World!!! This is awesome!

Anonymous

Er... BEAKMAN'S World. Darn you, autocorrect.

CaptainDisillusion

Oh, I'm intimately familiar with this particular autocorrection :) The promoter app I use insisted on changing Beakman to Beckmann in the entire script!

Awesome, more nerds roasted by captain D. I hope you eventually get to work with Adam Savage.

This is some really high-quality stuff! You should feel very proud. Who knew that my modest pledges would be so effective! ;-)

That was pretty bad ass there. (I might be a little biased. I was always partial to Beakman over Bill Nye which I know is some kinda blasphemy.) I'd be interested to hear the story of how this collaboration came about.

This got broadcast in Ireland when I was a kid. We never got Bill Nye, just Beakman (and AJ's Time Travellers, which was equally weird). Thank you for the nostalgia.

Great episode! I would love to see more of the debunking-by-science type stuff, even if it's "been done before." Keep it up!

Friggin' amazing! This brought back lots of memories...

This video brought me indescribable joy. I grew up watching Beakman's World and your videos always reminded me of the show. This is truly a nostalgic treat. Thank you Capt for a great episode!

That was incredible! Thank you

D! Youre out of control! You just keep pushing your own limits, don't you?it's work like this that makes me happy to Pateron all over that silver face of yours.

but how does ellie breathe in space debunk pls

Anonymous

That was awesome. Great work, thank you!

CaptainDisillusion

Thanks. I always liked them both, but found BW zany style closer to my own sensibility :) I'll be posting some making-of stuff.

Fantastic job Captain and all others involved. I can't believe you got Paul Zaloom on for an episode! It was an incredible nostalgia trip. I'm sure this video is going to be a huge hit when it goes live. So many children were inspired by Beakman's world and now those same internet goers come across over-unity engine claims that big oil doesn't want you to see. I still refer to scenes from Beakman's world when explaining things like Bernoulli's Principle. I did have one note though... It may be too late to rerender the part or you may not even be too worried but at around 8:40 you show like poles attracting for several rotations of the motor. Then in the next scene all is well again and for the rest of the video.

Beakman's World wasn't a formative show for me; I was a little too old for it, but I'd occasionally watch it anyway. Is it weird that I teared up a little seeing him again? :)

Anonymous

Awesome!

Ryan

Oh dude, this is so bad ass. How much of this informs the format of future videos? Good luck with Sony!

Anonymous

This was amazing. The sheer amount of useless sound effects is outstanding.

It's funny: I was just thinking yesterday how much your videos sort-of remind me of Beakman's World in some ways, and lo and behold this gets posted! Creepy~~~ Amazing work; definitely your best one by far yet! You were able to hit all of the Beakman's World notes just right, from the wacky editing to the persistent zany sound effects. The amount of effort and time put into this really shows! :)

Anonymous

What happened to the video? It isays it was taken down.

CaptainDisillusion

Not to worry! I'm re-uploading it because a couple things needed to be fixed. Will update the link as soon as available. Sorry for the trouble.

Found your channel because of this video. Watched your other videos and you are doing a lot of effort on your content. You keep it interesting and super fun to watch.

CaptainDisillusion

Thanks. If I tried to do this every video I would keel over real quick. It'll be back to normal next month :P

CaptainDisillusion

Thank you. It involved watching a lotta BW episodes for constant reference and it really impressed me how well they did stuff that long ago.
