Finally building a lighting grid, of sorts, above the set. I'll be able to hang lights from there and free up floor space in the room. I'm using Hollywood standard Speed-Rail fittings, but I couldn't get the correct kind of aluminum pipe in time for this month's shoot, so I'm using PVC instead. Let's hope it doesn't all come crashing down on my guest's head. Also, it turns out drilling holes into concrete is really, really hard, even with an AC powered hammer drill. My entire body hurts. 3 pipes done, 4 more to go...

I've been using the bits that come included with the anchor screws. I guess they're probably not the best quality.

I am so envious, I've been planning my shop/studio for a few years and a rail system is on the top of my list of features.

Try a hammer drill

Great job, just dont melt those PVCs with hot lights !
