Some episodes just kick my butt. Nothing about them feels easy. This month it's one of those. It's a bit longer than usual and I made the foolhardy decision to put a rather complicated CGI element into all the shots of me hosting on-screen (which normally have few or no effects at all). It took me over a week to get just those shots finished. Yesterday I completed the shorter of the two "breakdown" debunking segments. Now just the longer one remains.

It's the last gap to fill in the visuals of the episode and it's the heart of the whole video. (I'm fully aware that many viewers would rather I limited all my videos to this part and dispensed with all the other arty-funny crap :)

After it's done, there's still color-correction and sound design to work on, but it will be a welcome change of pace from repetitive compositing and animation tasks.

I've had to push the countdown on my website back a couple days again... PLEASE DON'T TELL ANYONE.

I am genuinely looking forward to showing you this video though. I never know what will do well with an audience, but I personally like this one. Hope you will too.

I adore the whole episodes, not just the educational sections. I do hope you keep being just as artistic and comedic as you are. Your videos wouldn't be as good without that side of every episode.

I'm sure we will ;-)

Eckhart lol

The arty-funny is pretty great. I showed some friends the Indian UFO debunk the other day, and was reminded about the joke-density of your scripts, which are full of solid comedic premises, well executed.

So, this is just my opinion, and I'm sure I'm a slither of your demographic, the educational stuff you present is SO good, you debunk stuff in such an irrefutable manner, it's genius. It's exactly what I've been looking for. But some of your jokes...I don't want to be negative, I really appreciate your work, but I find myself scrubbing past anything with Mr flare, or that floaty head ethereal lady. Sorry, constructive criticism? Actual love x

Please don't ever dispose of the "arty-funny" parts! I think I would cry! There are plenty of debunkers, but only one Captain Disillusion!
