Having to put on my producer's hat now to plan and make arrangements for the shoot. We're purchasing some items for the unusual needs of this episode, (such as making the room temporarily look like a game show set) so most of your generous donations this month are helping with that.

Since I wrote the script in 'Final Draft' , I was able to use its little-known free companion app 'Final Draft Tagger' to mark the various props, visual effects and other elements in the script so as not to miss anything. I don't have any film budgeting software, nor do I know the first thing about how that stuff works, so I just used plain old Microsoft Excel to cobble together a basic budget to see if my crazy ideas are doable.

All of this is very UN-creative work and I don't like doing it. But frankly, it's the only way to prepare for making anything more elaborate than a webcam video blog, so... gotta do it.

The plan is to film on the 8th and 9th of August. Day 1 will be in the usual red room and day 2 on greenscreen. Tomorrow I'm going with Lauren to find wardrobe for the "human version" of Holly. We'll also need some fancy camera work this time, but unfortunately, my talented cinematographer friend Daniel will not be available on those days. So as of now, I have to figure out who's going to shoot this thing.

SIGH, back to it!

Hmmm, I usually kind of like to do those art department things, like the going out to find wardrobe for the "human version" of Holly type of things. But I do imagine that doing camera and technical side of production is boring and tedious :( Good luck!

I suppose I enjoy the art direction part, but the scheduling, paperwork and calling people up to ask for things... NOT MY FORTE :P
