The beta build for this week is still in development, but should be released Monday night at the latest. I'll update this post when the build is available.

This week I attempted to update the version of Unity that the game uses but was ultimately unsuccessful. These past couple days I restored the old version of the game and began work on implementing features I had planned for the previous build but that ultimately fell through the cracks.

As I mentioned last week and in the Discord I've been attempting to update the Unity version of the game to the latest available version. Unfortunately, the post processing stack in the version I was trying to update to kept spitting out recurring errors that took a substantial amount of time to track down and attempt to fix, but would reappear as soon as I started attempting to fix graphical elements. I've decided that it was ultimately not worth it to pursue the back end update. F2 will use the latest version available when work starts on it later this year since it will not run into the same conflicts as FuckNAF.

Some of the features I'm currently working on that will be available when the beta build is done is the ability to undo/redo actions in the toy box and desk setup modes and the ability to select the old QA machine as a skin for gameplay. Currently both features are missing some final components that will make them functional such as programming a class for each "action" that I want to be undoable, and having the animations for the QA machine be synced up with the same timing as the new machine (essentially, fix it the way QA Mk2 was fixed last update).

I'm also starting work on a model for Golden Fredrika. I've decided that instead of having two fully functional models in game, with one being replaced later on, that I would make a higher effort model derived from Fredrika similar to how Springtrap was derived from Bonnie. The fully custom model will appear in the ending but not in gameplay, I won't go into further details as it would be a spoiler, you can head to the discord if you don't mind being spoiled and want more information.

Update: After many attempts, the QA machine skin selector idea needed to be scrapped. However the undo function described above has now been implemented. If you press Ctrl+z in either the toy box or the desk setup you will be able to make the transform gizmo reappear when you click off of it, move toys back to where they were previously, or rotate them back to their previous rotation. Pressing Ctrl+shift+z will reverse the undo, in case you accidentally undo something you don't want to.
