Honestly not satisfied with how much of this one turned out color wise, it looks decent in black and white though.

Completely unrelated to the painting, but I've been trying to think of ways to attract new patrons lately, since with it dropping every month the Kickstarter money has been running out pretty quickly, since Patreon now only barely covers a majority of my rent.

So, if you guys have any suggestions or things that you want to see/think that others might gravitate towards as rewards, feel free to let me know! I'll of course spend some time doing research on other campaigns, but your input would be greatly appreciated, since I want to obviously do things that would appeal to everyone who has been supporting me all this time.

I'll probably make a dedicated post about this, maybe tomorrow to see if I can get more suggestions, since I doubt most people read these image descriptions, but yeah, there's a little mini update on things for you all.

I think patrons like engaging content and keeping the visual novel relevant with polls, small weekly updates with what you worked on that week and how it was. Maybe sharing your goals on what you aim to get done each month at minimum and reporting if you succeeded. Events could also help people get more invested, like how people enjoy DTIYS and Art raffles on twitter

What kind of polls would you suggest? Off the top of my head, I couldn't think of anything that would be worthwhile. The reason I don't write weekly updates is because I like to spend pretty much all of my time working, and then during the last part of my day I relax for a few hours then sleep. I'd have to write the updates during that relaxation time, but it might be worth it if it keeps people more engaged, I don't know. Plus, people don't really tend to engage with the updates anyway even when they're lengthy, so I wasn't sure if more frequent "here's what I did this week" type stuff would matter. I'll consider it though

It's pretty tough to come up with everything by yourself, most people have teams to help with the engagement part and so on. I also couldn't really think of anything specific for polls, just thought it could help entertain people even if it's silly and unimportant. It's probably hit or miss, but content creators like vtubers are good at just chatting about anything that keeps themselves relevant and they get views for that. It's a whole another job in itself. I haven't really looked up how others operate these things when working on huge projects so hopefully looking them up helps you get more ideas!
