Hello dear Friends,

I've been abroad for three days recently. Namely I went from my Polish hometown to Dresden in Germany (Saxony) to visit the Zwinger Palace, the Royal Palace and the Great Garden.

Well, this resulted in an unexpected situation. I had an opportunity to take a quick tour through the 16, 17 and 18 century Armory and Court Wardrobe exhibition.

I really loved it, since as you know, I'm a 17 century geek. I've been particularly amazed with the details of the Rennaissance and Baroque royal armors. They are beautifully displayed in full scale on horses and in jousting arrangements.

The royal clothing display is not that rich in numbers, but the Rennaissance and Baroque items are quite astonishing. I particularly loved the Parade Dress of Electress Magdalena Sibylla - I'm thinking of redoing it in 3d, but it definitely was extraordinary to see live.

The Augustus II the Strong (who was also the king of Poland at the time) wardrobe made my jaw drop on the wooden floor.

Sadly I had only one day to see the Royal Palace Museum, and it was clearly not enough.

I strongly recommend this spot :) The oldtown is most impressive, even though it was severly bombed and destroyed during the WWII. Definitely a must see :)
