Hello dear Patrons,

I hope you're enjoying the MDP Outfit LE and SE versions and I also hope that the Habsburgs are enjoying the Victorian Cape too :)

Staying in my recent 17 century mood, I'd like to mention today one of my favorite miniseries. It's a 2017 Guillem Morales picture entitled The Miniaturist.

It's a dramatic and intriguing story of a 17 century Dutch trader and his family starring the beautiful Anya Taylor Joy.

The costumes here are designed by Joanna Eatwell and I think they fit the modest protestant aesthetics quite well. The underpinnings give the actresses a special noble appearance and the outer fabrics are rich, yet simple in detail - perfect for this location and period. Even though you might notice some contemporary techniques here and there, the general principles are just right. Apart from the dresses also menswear is very historically correct too and the cloaks are just stunning.

The purple/violet gown is my fav as well as the blue one. I think this simple aesthetics could fit Skyrim very nicely, for the cold and dark - kind of fantasy vibe, is also very present here.

I strongly recommend watching the miniseries - it's full of nice plot twists and drama.

Have a nice week guys!

K.
