Hello Habsburgs and Bourbons,

did a very quick test of the first Falka Retex element - the brigandine material. I used a diffuse color texture rendered in 3ds max to get the material's color and a cropped z-depth map to get normal bumps and another cropped z-depth map to define specular channel (since the higher the level the more glossy element - fabric/leather/steel).

Even though the texture isn't very detailed so far, it gave a quite nice effect along with some gentle parametric wrinkles overlay made in Substance Painter.

Now it's time to design the breastplate and refer to Saskia's armor somehow. I don't have a clue right now how to do it. But I think a nice idea will appear in the making.
