Work In Progress - Falka Report (Patreon)

...and some wip report for you guys. I'm back to armors for a moment.This month I want to finish the Falka Armor set and complete it with a pair of gauntlets and a helmet maybe (I'm still not sure how the helmet should look like).

I picked a kind of tournament armor gauntlets as a reference. I liked them since they are quite slim and do have some nice simple decorations which also add some stiffness to the elements. I had to get rid of the armguard since it collided with the existing one. So these will go just under it.

I was debating (as I always do) which details to model and which to do with materials. I decided to do a simple general shape but to keep rivets and hinges in 3d so they could stand out a bit more. The linear details will be made during the texturing stage. I'm doing these as a two-part thing. The first part is a pair of leather gloves and the actual gauntlet goes over it.

Well that's it for now. Next week I'm going to UVW map these and start doing the materials.
