I gave this to ChatGPT https://chat.openai.com/chat , and it gives two different answers depending on my prompt. Lol. So Andrew I guess your job is safe for now? But fwiw, I'd like to * Submit ChatGPT's Answer 2 below for consideration, and * Propose that we ban ChatGPT from T3BE answers in the future. :D https://photos.app.goo.gl/9Qjs9KE6o935EHkYA PROMPT ATTEMPT 1: Select the correct answer to the following bar exam question an explain why it's the correct answer. ChatGPT ANSWER 1: (A) Yes, it tends to show possession is the correct answer. In order to establish adverse possession, a party must show that they have been in open, notorious, and continuous possession of the property for the statutory period. Evidence that Diet Foods Co kept the property clean would tend to show that they were in possession of the property and not just a trespasser. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Po49wLa9nw61DwSR6 PROMPT ATTEMPT 2: Select the correct answer to the following bar exam question. Explain why it's the correct answer, and explain why each of the wrong answers is incorrect. ChatGPT ANSWER 2: The correct answer is (B) Yes, it tends to show actual possession. In order to establish adverse possession, Diet Foods Co must show that it had actual possession of the property, which includes both physical occupation and control over the property. Keeping the property clean is one way to show that Diet Foods Co had physical occupation and control over the property, as it demonstrates that Diet Foods Co was actively using and maintaining the property. The other answers are incorrect because they do not relate to the requirement of actual possession. (A) Yes, it tends to show possession is incorrect because possession alone is not enough to establish adverse possession; actual possession is required. (C) Yes it tends to show cleanliness is incorrect because cleanliness is not directly related to possession, and (D) Yes it tends to show that Diet Foods Co employs professional cleaners is incorrect because it is not relevant to the issue of possession.

Fwiw, I also ran the last 10 T3BEs (where we know the answers) through ChatGPT, and it got 3 out of 10 correct. :P I posted the results on the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/YodelMountain/posts/1913133772356959/

I'm glad to hear that AI isn't able to answer legal questions yet. Before I retired a few years ago, I worked for a Big Four CPA firm doing tax law research. Some of my colleagues said that AI would be doing my job in a few years. My response was that is fine, as long as you don't mind giving the client the wrong answer.
