It's a bit of a good news show! The Respect for Marriage Act has passed the Senate! Justice Alito was ratted out by a Rev. Schenck. And, the 11th Circuit delivered a whopper of a decision putting an end to the Judge Cannon Naro Lago nonsense.

I keep making comments to this effect so long as Comey keeps coming up: prior to Comey's announcement that the Clinton email investigation was re-opened, both Giuliani and a Republican legislator made comments strongly suggesting they knew about the new batch of emails. Presumably, there was a leak from the NY FBI office to Giulini. It's fair to blame Comey for the leak (in the "buck stops here" sense), but he had no immediate control over the leak, and his public announcement was the least-bad option at that point - in order to retain some credibility when later announcing the closure of the investigation. If Andrew an Thomas just like bashing Comey as a meme that's fine, but it would help to clear up the fact pattern instead of putting 100% of the blame on him.

He could have just kept his mouth shut instead of legitimizing the issue.

I don't think Judge Cannon is long for the bench. She doesn't care about the law enough to spend her life wading through mundane cases on a judges salary, and the 11th Cir. just demonstrated that it's not going to let her do the kind of damage she wants to. So I think she'll wander back to the private sector sooner rather than later.
