Upcoming Epsiodes and OA Release Schedule (Please Read!) (Patreon)

This Monday, September 26, we're going to release a special episode of Opening Arguments to coincide with the first Presidential debate.  Yes, that's right, we're going to resolve once and for all whether Hillary Clinton should have been indicted for the use of a private email server.  We're very excited about this episode and we think it's coming at a pretty good time.  Keep spreading the word about the show, and if you have anyone on the fence about listening, this episode might just be the one to get them hooked!

Of course, we continue to be blown away by your support for Opening Arguments, and we will continue to show our appreciation by delivering regular bonus "deep dive" episodes and other fun content.  Also, now that we've hit our Patreon goal, every epsiode starting with OA13 will be (at least) one full hour in length!

What we'd also like to do is standardize our production schedule.  Because the show drops on a Wednesday, approximately half of our months have five weeks, while the other half have four.  That makes it a challenge to plan out our schedule with a wide variety of topics.  (You should see our spreadsheet whiteboard!)

So what we've decided to do is the following:  on months with five Wednesdays, we'll release an episode every Wednesday.  On months with only four Wednesdays (like September!) we will release a new episode on Monday AND Wednesday the last week of the month, starting with next week.

We are totally excited to be able to deliver more -- and longer -- episodes of Opening Arguments to you.  However, we also wanted to let you know that this means an extra episode will drop here on Patreon approximately every other month, which may affect your decision to sponsor the show, particularly for our larger donors.  Both of us do know what it's like to have a monthly budget, and we didn't want to surprise anyone by releasing an occasional fifth show without letting you know in advance.

Obviously, we hope that this decision won't affect your support for the show at all.  But if you can't afford to sponsor a fifth show at this time, we do understand.  Patreon has a nifty solution:  just click on your pledge and then the 'Edit' button on the right, which will then bring up a separate window with your pledge and a check box that says "Optional:  Set a monthly max on your pledge."  If you click that check box, you can then fill in the maximum number of times per month that you want to support the show (4).
