Thank you so much for supporting the show!  We are, quite frankly, blown away by the level of pre-release support we've received from all of you, and this show wouldn't be possible without your generosity and enthusiasm.  Neither of us expected that we'd be at this level this quickly, and we're working hard to try and reward you for your support.

So what's next?  We are preparing for our public launch on iTunes and stitcher.  We want to absolutely CRUSH this launch so that we can share the show far and wide.  If we build enough excitement about the show, it will get listed on iTunes's "New & Noteworthy" page, which is basically the podcasting equivalent of being a New York Times bestseller.  That's why we've been deliberate in our rollout (and we know some of you have asked when you can look forward to OA on iTunes for convenience).  We will also be going live with our website and show notes at www.openargs.com.

So here's what we're going to do.  In the next couple of days, we're going to drop EIGHT full episodes of Opening Arguments to the public.  Even though we're technically still in the half-hour size on Patreon, most of these episodes are nearly an hour (or more) in length, so there's going to be a ton of content right out of the gate.

SOME of this content will be new to you.  We explain each episode below.  The important thing to remember is that you will not be multiply charged on Patreon for any of the episodes that have been split or re-released, and there will only be one paid post per week when Patreon bills you at the end of the month.  If you have any questions or concerns, please please please email us at openarguments@gmail.com and we will answer any questions you have.

Okay, with that in mind, here's our release schedule for this week:

Episode 1:  "The Story Begins"  This is an entirely new episode, with lots of fun content.  Even if you think you know Andrew and Thomas, we think you'll enjoy the main sequence discussion.  Also, we preview all four recurring segments we intend to introduce in the show, including "Closed Arguments," "Are You A Cop?," "Breakin' (Down) the Law," and "Listener Questions," with an example of each one.

Episodes 2-5.  These episodes are the two lengthy Bush v. Gore episodes you've already heard, reformatted as Opening Arguments episodes with our kickass intro and outro music, disclaimer, and other fun stuff.  There is no new content in these episodes, although if you want to download them anyway it will certainly help our download numbers.  Based on how we early-released these episodes, only ONE episode of these will be considered a paid post for Patreon purposes -- not all four.

Episode 6:  "The Pending NFL Apocalypse"  This is the OA bonus episode reformatted for public release with new content:  a listener question from Michael Rops, and a "Closed Arguments" segment at the end.  (The middle interview is Andrew's interview with Chris Kristofco that you've already heard.)  Even though we've given you some new content here, this will not be a paid post on Patreon AT ALL!  It's still totally free.  We still think you will want to download this episode and listen to the new segments, though.

Episode 7:  "You Won't Have the Satanic Temple to Kick Around Any More, Part 1"  This is an entirely new episode with new opening and closing segments, and it runs nearly an hour in length.

Episode 8:  "You Won't Have the Satanic Temple to Kick Around Any More, Part 2"  This, too, is an entirely new episode with new opening and closing segments, and is also nearly an hour long.

After those initial eight episodes are released, we will continue to release weekly on Wednesdays, with our upcoming Episode 9 dedicated to everyone's favorite Supreme Court opinion, Roe v. Wade.  Paid posts will be released in accordance with Patreon's instructions and your support level.  As always, future Patreon bonus content will always be free!

So that's where we are.  We've already given you more than four hours of content, and we're about to release another three hours' worth in one clip.  Throughout all this, we're going to make sure Patreon only charges you for the bare minimum.  Again, if you have any questions, please let us know.  We really do value your support and enthusiasm and we want to make sure you're aware of everything we're doing.

Thanks again for supporting Opening Arguments and stay tuned to this space for how you can help us absolutely crush our iTunes launch and become the hottest podcast on the planet!

-Thomas and Andrew

P.S. Here's a picture of Andrew, hard at work in his office after midnight on a Sunday cranking out new content for the show!  We'd show Thomas too but he's so busy editing the show he doesn't even have time for a quick selfie.
