Honestly, if Aang had just been honest with her about desiring other women besides her and maybe resisted cheating on her, she probably would’ve joined in the foursome with Toph, Suki, and Kiyoshi. Hell, this polyamorous relationship with Mai and Zuko (by far my favorite interpretation of the Zutara possibility) would’ve probably still happened, but with Aang involved, and that might be the outcome of this story.
