Hey guys, pretty big update here.

The cameras are now separated into categories, since many new cameras were added.

Chest, Shoulder, and Head cameras are now accessible at any time, both on foot and in vehicle by a key press, and they are no longer a part of the regular list that you cycle through with V. The default controls to switch through the Body Cameras are DEL, END, and PAGE DOWN. Of course, you can modify them via Controls.ini located in the ViewPointV folder.

Here are the currently available cameras and the categories they are in:

Body Cameras (only available via a key press, not a part of the on foot/in vehicle cameras cycle)

  • ViewPointV: Chest Camera

  • ViewPointV: Shoulder Camera

  • ViewPointV: Head Camera

On Foot Cameras (only available when walking on foot, switch using Switch Control (V for keyboard users))

  • Default Game Cameras (Close/Mid/Far/FP)

  • ViewPointV: First Person Camera

  • ViewPointV: Third Person Camera

  • ViewPointV: On Foot Classic GTA Top Down View Camera [NEW]

Car Cameras (only available when driving a car, switch using Switch Control (V for keyboard users))

  • Default Game Cameras (Close/Mid/Far/FP)

  • ViewPointV: On Foot First Person Camera

  • ViewPointV: On Foot Third Person Camera

  • ViewPointV: On Foot Classic GTA Top Down View Camera [NEW]

Motorcycle Cameras (only available when riding a bike, switch using Switch Control (V for keyboard users))

  • Default Game Cameras (Close/Mid/Far/FP)

  • ViewPointV: Motorcycle First Person Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Motorcycle Chase Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Motorcycle Cinematic Chase Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Motorcycle Classic GTA Top Down View Camera [NEW]

Helicopter Cameras (only available when flying a helicopter, switch using Switch Control (V for keyboard users))

  • Default Game Cameras (Close/Mid/Far/FP)

  • ViewPointV: Helicopter First Person Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Helicopter Chase Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Helicopter Cinematic Chase Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Helicopter Dash Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Helicopter Classic GTA Top Down View Camera [NEW]

Plane Cameras (only available when flying a plane, switch using Switch Control (V for keyboard users))

  • Default Game Cameras (Close/Mid/Far/FP)

  • ViewPointV: Plane First Person Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Plane Chase Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Plane Cinematic Chase Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Plane Dash Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Plane Classic GTA Top Down View Camera [NEW]

On Event Cameras (automatic cameras that are triggered on certain events)

Vehicle Entry Cameras

  • ViewPointV: Victim's First Person Camera [NEW]

  • ViewPointV: Cinematic Angles Camera [NEW]

The On Events Cameras is a new category, it currently only has the Vehicle Entry Event that contains 2 cameras and, but more are coming soon!

On Event Cameras are basically scripted transition cameras that are triggered on certain events for about 2-3 seconds.

When an event occurs (for example Vehicle Entry), ViewPointV will select a random camera from those that you checked in the list.

Decheck all of them to completely disable Vehicle Entry Cameras.

Cameras from different categories with similar names are still different cameras with their own settings. They share a big part of the logic, but were also tweaked specifically for their corresponding category. That means that modifying settings of one, for example the Helicopter First Person Camera, the settings of another, for example the Car First Person Camera will not be changed, even if you're modifying Global Settings.

Other changes:

General

  • Added ability to toggle mod off at any time using a key, for compatibility with free cam mods etc. Just press the key and the mod will be completely disabled. (INSERT KEY by default, modify key in Controls.ini)

  • Fixed "FileNotFound exception"

  • Added ability to force 3rd person audio for body cameras and first person camera for those who have custom weapon mods that do not have proper 1st person audio

Menu

  • Resizing, better categorization, more intuitive names and descriptions

  • Configure This Camera button changes text and color to represent if the camera is configurable or not

  • Current active camera is displayed in the main menu above the Configure This Camera button

  • Button now updates properly when the menu is open

  • Notifications are now shown in the top left corner, and are less laggy and annoying

On Foot First Person Camera

  • Fixed camera detaching while entering a vehicle

  • Improved camera behavior on reload, when Video Stabilization is disabled

  • Added an option to force the reticle to be always shown in On Foot First Person Camera, to help aiming

  • Aiming should be more comfortable now (both for when Video Stabilization is On and when it's Off)

  • Added height adjustment

  • Fixed ragdoll/getting up camera spinning

  • Fixed flickering in the corners of the screen

  • Smoother weapon sway

  • Sprint to aim should be less confusing now

Car Chase Camera received a major rework

  • No more side to side jerkiness

  • Less springy

  • Better FOV responsiveness to acceleration + speed

  • Better Y Axis (back and forth) movement on acceleration/deceleration

  • Better Z Axis (up and down) rotation on acceleration/deceleration

  • Added DOF Effects to improve sense of speed, objects in the distance become more focused than what is closer (toggle on/off in the menu)

Car Cinematic Chase Camera

  • Added Dynamic FOV

  • Rotation and position are now affected by G-Forces

Car First Person Camera

  • Better FOV responsiveness to acceleration + speed

  • Added DOF Effects to improve sense of speed, objects in the distance become more focused than what is closer (toggle on/off in the menu)

  • Fixed look back

  • Improved head movement, player now leans when looking back

Chest Camera

  • Smoother movement

  • Fixed sound

Shoulder Camera

  • Fixed Sound

As usual, report any bug you found and help me improve the mod further.

Thank you, and have a nice weekend!

Hello, after some time playing it works mostly great and the new additions are awesome. Just a couple bugs I have experienced in my time: -Frequent involuntary camera switches (to cameras I would even have disabled) -Switching to random aiming cameras that were disabled in menu and had to go recheck and uncheck it to temp fix. -Motorcycle camera first person (no current option to disable) aiming reticle still visible, and no separate menu for it. Would love for this one to get fixed as I don't believe it was visible in the previous update -Random (almost blur/timecycle Camera effects occur randomly even after disabling) Other than that still real fun!

The body cameras (shoulder, chest and head cameras) are toggled by a key press (you can change it in Cintrols.ini). If you need help send me a message

Hey, thanks for the detailed report. Can I ask some questions to help me recreate these bugs? Does the camera switch randomly without even pressing the SWITCH CAMERA key? Do you use Auto Switch On Aim? Can you elaborate on Motorcycle FP? It should have a separate menu for it. About the blur effect, did you disable them in CollisionFX? Maybe you are talking about the Depth Of Field? Try to disable it in the settings of the specific camera you're talking about.

My context hints don't show up when I have this installed, is there anyway to have them turn back on?
