Dev Update (Patreon)

Hey there, Patrons - 

Welp, this month has gone by fast, and the updates will be coming relatively quickly over the next week.

First, to close the loop on version 0.6.3 & 0.6.3a, the Official Walkthrough and Scene Guide for the latest release is now available for download. (If you are a Patron at the "Delight Me" tier and higher, click here to go to that post.)

As we mentioned in that post, we apologize  for the delay. After two COVID 19-free years, the virus hit the Surprise & Delight team. We're finally on the other side, but catching up with all our non-game-related responsibilities took some time. Now that we're back in the game groove, we've been busy –  finishing the walkthrough, continuing the writing and development of version 0.6.4, and gearing up the planning for the big version 0.7.0.

We are now on pace to have the version 0.6.4 update ready for patrons with early release benefits ("Surprise Me {$5} tier and higher) in the next few days. 

Here's what you can expect in version 0.6.4 (no spoilers!):

• (Finally!) Fixing the series of events that occurs when you don't pay your rent on time. This has been on the to-do list for a while! There will also be a "bad end" tied to this series of events. (This is by far the longest bit of writing in this update, with the most variable options.)
• Some short new scenes that will randomly appear when working at the Bar or Diner.
• Several ways for the protagonist to "feel good" in a non-sexual way.
• A few back-end changes to simplify and prepare for (story-related) expansion of a couple of phone functions, as well as some front-facing aesthetic and usability changes (*big* improvements, IMO!)
• A number of minor aesthetic changes/upgrades, and both major and minor bugs fixed.

Of course, this isn't everything! We wouldn't live up to our name if we ruined the Surprise before the Delight was released!
