So, sorry about the general silence, this is how I get when I'm wrapping things up, narrow focused. I'd expected to get it out a couple days ago, but got hit by a serious headache and minor illness and just didn't want to deal with the early bug crunching like that, so sorry. But then I go to upload today, and I learned something new.
Patreon has a 200mb file limit.
They've apparently always had a 200mb limit! How did I not know this?! But as it turns out, the latest version creeps right past that limit, at a native zipped file size of 204mb. Fuck. So the first thing I considered, I've taken the Windows version and split it into two .rar files, so you need to download BOTH part 1 and part 2 and extract them together (extracting part 1 with part 2 in the same folder should automatically handle both). Not too hard, right? And the Linux version still squeaks right under the limit, so it's there too. The Mac one, I could split like the windows one, if that would work, any Mac users, let me know what would work best for you guys. Oh, and Linux people, let me know what I should try with yours when we inevitably cross that threshold.
In the next day or so I'll consider other options, like maybe trying to compress it harder to fit into a single zip or 7z or something, and also consider some sort of third party hosting option, like Mega or whatever. I haven't used those for uploads in a while.
Anyway, technical nonsense out of the way, what's actually IN this version?! Well, it includes Gwen's two sex poses and related activities, if there is a case where you think the sex positions/acts should be working but you still get blocked, let me know. Also, everyone has shoes now, at least one pair, although they're only visible in their standing poses. Oh, and their standing poses have feet now, that's probably important. The default posture is still from the shins up, but I'll be using their full body shots in more scenes eventually.
That brings us to the second potential technical hurdle, performance. I was testing all eight girls on screen at once, and it seems to cause a bit of chugging on my machine (although the memory and CPU usage both seemed manageable, the game started to crawl a bit). So I made a fun little test mode for you guys to offer feedback on, in the player menu, go to Special Options, then Hank's Lab, where the "colored buttons" go, there is a "green button," which displays the campus, and then you can add girls to the screen one at a time. There is then a little dialogue you can hit, just a couple sentences back and forth, and you can see how that moves (or fails to move). I'd like some feedback on how many girls you can get on screen, all eight, or less, and at what point there is a noticeable input lag on the gameplay. It hasn't crashed on me yet, or impacted my computer outside the game, but I wouldn't want to commit to any major gameplay changes if most people can't handle it.
