Hey guys, I've been kind of quiet lately so I thought I'd let you know what I've been working on. Mostly this month I've been working on story and code, most of which isn't quite ready yet. I've put a lot of work into developing the way Kitty will react to the player's behavior (and how Rogue will behave if the situations are reversed). I added a mechanic that plays with the "caught in the act" element, such that if Kitty is in the room while you're fooling around with Rogue, chances are she'll notice and have something to say about it.

If she kind of likes you, she might get upset and run out of the room, or perhaps get embarrassed. If she's up for it, she might decide to stick around. If you're dating Rogue and she catches you fooling around with Kitty, then she might get made and fight with you about it later.

I also spent some time working up that mechanic, an element where if you're dating, and Rogue gets pissed off enough, she can try to break up with you. Now you can maybe talk her out of it, maybe have some other outcomes, but being dating a girl makes most activities easier, and being an ex makes most activities harder, so you want to be careful. Now I need to add the ability to get back together.

One other factor to this that I've added is how much they like each other.  This starts relatively high because they're both good friends, but it plays a role as a modifier for any interactions they have, and by nudging it into "more than just friends" territory it makes interacting with both at once a lot easier, while if you have them fighting with each other, that can be a lot harder to pull off.

Also, when I work on artwork, I like to have some good TV on. There looks to be some really good TV coming out this weekend, so I've already planned to spend long hours binge-drawing new art elements for Kitty, and a couple I need to finish up for Rogue.

Anyway, I hope you'll really enjoy the next version I get out when it becomes available. I hope to have at least a few ways to fool around with Kitty.

Well, that's definitely the long term plan, and to an extent it will steamroll, because a lot of what I'm working on now are the underlying systems to allow two girls to co-exist, which all applies to three, and four, so once I get a few in there, the following ones get easier to implement. I will say, none of those are the third girl, but maybe the 4th.

What would be good, would be if you can play your cards right and then get both of them for sexy action, like having threesome and the like. Having both of them compete with each other over you, or turn one of them into an obedient servior and see how the other reacts and the like.

I can't promise all that right away, but I definitely plan to incorporate as much of that as possible along the way. In the very earliest implementation, all that's likely to happen is that one could be in the same room with you as you hook up with the other, and maybe you can switch between them, but once that's working out I hope to add more direct interaction between them, both during and outside of sex.

Not all of it, basically a lot of what I put in is groundwork, it's stuff that needs to be there when it's needed, but that maybe can't be accessed immediately. I'd rather have Kitty know what to do when you start getting a blowjob in front of her, than to have her just stand there in the background and never notice. ;) So the basics of it should be in the next build, but maybe there won't be any way to access a lot of it, since Kitty's full range of options is still in progress. The things I'm still working on are 1. finishing up Kitty's sprite options (still need a few faces, accessories, and costume pieces for that), 2. Finishing up Kitty's missionary pose. 3. Finishing Kitty's BJ and TJ artwork/animations. 4. Once the art is in place, doing the writing and and mechanics changes for her sex scenes and stuff. I'm not sure how much interaction I want to add for the next update. I could at least have her wandering the campus like Rouge at this point, and maybe a few of the flirty options, maybe the dating mechanic.

Sounds great but don't forget the obedience or whatever that is bar, that high with both girls should lead to some fun shit latter down the road...

Yeah, all the stats play a role. Love is probably the less useful of the three for that, since love alone has to be pretty high to not act as jealousy, Inhibition would likely be the most useful, since if it's high, she's more interested in it for herself. Threesomes are basically a high cap skill though, and trying to force one too early will likely blow up on you.

Sweet Christmas in October! It really does make me productive though. Drawing is something I can do while watching/listening to other stuff, and so I enjoy working on the art stuff more when I have something to throw on. Coding, unfortunately, requires most of my attention to sort out, so whenever I code for long periods of time, I fall behind on stuff I want to watch.

Is there a free demo available anywhere?

It's available to all patrons, but not a free version, mostly just to make sure everyone who gets it officially is old enough and all. If you can't afford a $1 pledge though, there are probably places you can find the game elsewhere on the Internets.

As soon as I have something worth releasing. So much of what I've done so far is half-systems, bits that really wouldn't work until all of it comes together. I need to finish up at least a few pieces before I can give a new version that's actually worth playing.

When will Kitty be an actual option?

Well, that really depends. I'll be adding some new features to the next build, she should be wandering around, you should be able to chat with her a bit. Maybe date, maaaaybe some minor sexy time stuff, not sure on that. I got a lot more of the sprite work done over the weekend, but still working on the full sex sprites, so that stuff definitely won't make the immediate next build. But I definitely aim to have her as functional as Rogue within the calendar year, if not sooner.

Pretty good. I did a lot with the sprite over the weekend, including her wet look, loose hair, and sketches for some new clothing and underwear options to bring her roughly equal to Rogue. I still need to get those sent out for ink and color though.

The latest versions are always available, just check "posts" under the front page and you can use the filters on the left to sort for things like "game" or whatever. The latest is 0.966d.

I prefer to just wait until I have a few new systems in a functional state, release a "use at your own risk" version, and then quickly patch in the bugs over the next week or so until we get to a stable one. There'd be no point in me just sending you what I have right this minute, because half the new stuff I already know will not work at all, so there's no point in testing it until it's actually in a functional state, and taking the time to bundle it up and polish it up into a distributed version would be wasting time I could be improving it. It's basically like auto-repair, I've got the hood open and half the engine on the floor, and sure, you could turn the key and start it up, but you wouldn't get very far. ;) So basically, when I have a functional build ready, which should be in a few weeks, I'll release it as 0.967, and you can jump on that and see what I missed, I greatly appreciate that. Then I'll put out version b, c, maybe d or e, hopefully not f, before announcing that most of the bugs seem to be exterminated and it's working well enough for people to play who don't enjoy bug-hunts. ;)

i dont enjoy bug hunting but i do try to trigger as many event and see every way possible to get to certain point as i can so i usually run into a lot of bugs lol sometimes its fustrating cuz ill run into gamebreaking bugs that negate a whole hours worth because i dong save often

Well, I appreciate it because it really helps. Hey, if you don't already know this, it may be of some use, but if you hit a "crash" bug, but it gives you the option to "rollback", do that, and then it'll put you on the last interaction. Then you can save (and wait until I fix it, hopefully at a point after that rollback, but maybe it'll still be broken for you because the "fix" came in before that point). You should also be able to hit "pgup" a few times to scroll back even further and maybe choose a different path at the last branch, Renpy is very forgiving. But yeah, savescum early, savescum often, especially on "unstable beta" builds. I would recommend at least saving before every major interaction, just in case, but then I'm a save-a-holic.

This game is pretty decent but do you have any plans of adding more artwork? Im talking about existing scenes like Rouge's dancing or masturbation - currently its just her normal standing pose.

I continue to add more artwork, but entirely new poses for existing characters are less likely. The problem is that I end up having to do clothes for each new pose, and there's a lot to that. The priority right now is on getting new characters in, but maybe at some point.

Hey, no offence, but you're doing realy slowly. TBH i'm lazy person too but when i get like 2600$ (etc) per month i starts working hard. Hope the next version will be great. Good luck!

What? Unless they out source it to some asian kid in an animitor sweat shop the drawings alone will take time, its not magic, you can't just dump money on a table and art shows up. This has custom artwork, and animations, and a new char is coming in this one so that is a shit ton of work. Maybe if you had a clue what you were talking about you could go make some money and pay up a buck lol. But me I tried drawing as a kid, and game design neither one is easy to do, just cause you got money. At 2600 just means the dev can work full time, but 2600 ain't gonna buy you a full time quality staff unless you got a connection to an asian sweetshop for art work. I mean come on, and this isn't even a steady 2600 half of them could pull out before month is over, so signing a contract only way to get good quality workers is a lot tougher.

I mean come on, if you want that kind of crap go sweet talk a real game company into making triple AAA titles, I mean you have no idea the work that is being done, this is gonna be a big update, but don't like they got a full time staff for 2600 a month. That couldn't even afford 2 40 hour employees unless they were amateurs.

Yeah, I am still on the lookout for people willing and able to work on this project with me, I'm not opposed to the idea, but most artists are tied up in other projects or just uninterested. If you see anyone out there that might want to work on a project like this and has a compatible art style, kick them my way. I'll treat them well. Also anyone who can animate in Renpy or do Renpy/Python coding can find useful things to do. In the meantime, I'm working as best I can to get the game out, and I am actually working with another artist to put some more NPCs into the game, and another coder who's working on some improvements to the animation engine Renpy uses that, if it works, will allow for some fun new flexibility.
