Ok, fucking homestretch here. I'm feeling a bit under the weather, but I wanted to make sure you guys knew I was working hard on this, and intend to have the build out in the next couple of days. I intend to put out a "beta" release for people who really like to test broken stuff (although ideally not too broken) and then within a couple of days after a "fixed" version to clear up any immediate issues, so if you just want to play something that actually works, maybe skip the first version I put out, you won't have long to wait and won't be missing too much.

So what have I been doing? Well check out the screenshot above. I've got her second arm pose, second outfit, most of her facial features, all that done (although technically you can't do anything with the second outfit in this build, it does exist).  Thanks again to Jansither for inking and coloring the new wardrobe pieces.

I also finished her first little scene, which will trigger under certain conditions (I won't tell you how here, but will put a spoiler in the tutorial if you don't care).  There's nothing too sexy with it, similar to Rogue's first scene, but it gives you a look at her reactions and dialog and stuff. Now for the time being, after that scene plays she won't be around in the game, but the next phase with her is to get the elements in that will allow for more interaction.

You'll also notice that I changed the UI a bit. You can now toggle the UI between "Rogue Focused" and "Kitty Focused," and each has a different colored background. This is done using the button just to the right of the money display, and the icon should represent the other character. The button next to that is a dev thing that will be disabled, so don't worry about it much.

I also fixed a minor but long-lived bug with the Disclaimer on the home screen, which had to do with me sucking at Screen language, and also made the chat balloons work much better than they used to, and they should now accurately reflect the character's position on the screen a bit better (which is more important now that multiple characters will be more common). Let me know if anything seems screwy to you about how dialog balloons work in this build.

My last step is to do some final runthroughs to see if there's anything immediately buggy, then split off the release version and prep it for distribution, so hopefully it shouldn't be long now.

Thank you for the update. Keeping fingers crossed for Kitty interaction in 2016.

Oh, there will definitely be some. I intend to roll her out slowly like when I was first adding things to Rogue, so, for now, this, hopefully by the end of next month, maybe some chatting options, basic dating, maybe a little fooling around, we'll see how it goes. I really hope that by the end of the year she'll have most of the options that Rogue does. Still work to do. I also need to finally get around to fixing Rogue's animations how I want them, which if I can get it to work right, will allow me to be more flexible in how interactions get combined. My current methods are very primitive, but the alternative I've been attempting is very glitchy.

Thanks for the update Oni. hope you feel better. Also, i'm always open to help stress test some stuff for ya. I helped do that on a couple private WoW servers a while back. you know, before Blizzard went full asshole and closed most of them down.

It'll be released in a few days when I finish polishing up the distribution. Basically I have to remove the scraps from development, test some of the new stuff to make sure it still works, then push it out. It'll be clearly labeled with a new version number when it's ready, and be on the front page. Also note that Patreon has added "tagging," so when the next downloadable comes out, I can tag it with things like "Release" so that you can filter for such results. Dated Updates are just blog updates to let you guys know what I've been up to.

good job so far and thanks for the update. i certainly wouldn't mind playing a bugged beta version of new releases to help, if it takes some of your work load to get patreons to help and you think it may be a good idea, why not?

Nothing major, just the UI change and a few graphical tweaks. One thing that I believe is in is that I toned down her second blush a bit because it was a bit out of control.

Mostly freeform, although I might introduce some more specific story beats in there. It's designed from the start to be a sandboxy experience that you can pursue how you see fit.

First off I hope you feel better! The changing of the seasons always causes me to get sick so I know the feeling. Secondly I cannot wait for this to release! As soon as you released the first picture for Kitty I fell in love with her so having her in the game even if for a little bit is something I have been waiting months for. Thanks so much for all the work you put into this! Keep it up man :D
