Rogue-Like 11/5 status update (Patreon)

Ok, I posted an image of something currently being worked on, but it's NSFW so I made it patrons-only. Feel free to share it elsewhere if you like though.

That's the new sex pose I've been working on, I'd say it's maybe 50% done at this point, I have the default outfit you see there, and I have the basic animations mostly worked out (dealing with complex animation in Renpy is a pain), and I'm working my way through the emotions at the moment. I still need to finish those up, then finish all the current clothing options so they work with this base, and then rewrite the elements for launching this new graphic during the sex scenes.

I don't want people to get the impression that just because I haven't released a new version in a while that I'm not hard at work. Some people release constant iterative improvements, just a little thing added here or there, and I didn't particularly want to do it that way, to have a bunch of unfinished versions out there, and also I tend to work a little scattershot, tweaking something here, then something else over there, and the result is that at any given time there are a half dozen elements that flat out do not work because I deliberately "broke" something so that I could fix it better.

So the next version you guys will see should be the "feature complete" version of Rogue-Like, the final beta before the official 1.0 release. After that, I don't expect to add any new features right away, I'll just collect bug reports and patch those up so that the 1.0 release is as bug-free as possible, and then put that 1.0 release out. Once that's squared away, I start work in earnest on Rogue-Like 2.0: Kat Fancy, adding Kitty to the game, along with various other features that Rogue should be able to take part in as well.

With any luck, this version will be faster to develop, since a lot of the core mechanics will already be in place, and I just need to rewrite dialog, add the art assets, tweak the stats, and then add in the new features I'd like to have (such as 3-ways). The next character after that, I'm really strongly leaning towards Emma Frost, but I'm open to compelling alternatives. I hope that I can count on your continue support, both financially, of course, but also in terms of calling out the various bugs in the game so I can fix them up. You guys were invaluable in tracking down a few pretty annoying glitches, mostly due to spelling errors and misplaced variables. ;) I'll also need fresh opinions about the "balance" of the game, because I made some tweaks that should make it harder to earn her favor, not least of which was a glitch in the early game that maxed out one of her stats in a way that never should have happened.
