It's been a bit since I've updated you guys, so here's what's going on. I've been working steadily on it, but a lot of that work has been not-flashy back-end stuff, which makes some of the mechanics simpler to work with, as well as dialog options that should make things a bit more fun.

I added a few more clothing options, as well as some other sprite options, and I added this feature above, little UI indicators for what various hands, tongues, or sex toys might be up to. They animate a little bit, and are called up by the actions currently available, so for example this combination would display if you're fondling her breasts and pussy.


I do intend to have a way of toggling these on and off if you prefer to not have them in the way.


Now on to a serious question I'm a bit divided on. I currently have that doggy style animation element. I haven't kept it up to date with the various clothing options and that sort of thing, so it'll take a certain amount of work to make it fully functional in the game. At the same time, I'm not sure it's the best way to handle that element, so I'm thinking of scrapping it completely, and going with a more first person view. I've done a rough sketch and a reference to the original version in the link below:

So the basic function would be the same, and it would be animated like the current one, just more of a PoV angle. I can't do both because that would be a lot of extra work for minimal payoff, and if I were going to put that much work in I'd want something entirely different instead. So I want to know what you guys think, should I stick with the original version? Should I switch to the new angle? Should I display these sex acts in some entirely different way? Nice to have an update, looking forward to the release. Any idea when the next beta will be out?

Voted for the new PoV angle. Although downside is with doggy the only available position in the game ATM, you'll be missing the view of the other half of her body, as compared to side view.

I wouldn't mind seeing like hands gripping her hips in the new view. Or something like switching between grabbing other parts like her hair and shoulders. Maybe even an option to slap her ass. Just a thought.

Well, ass slapping is already in the gameplay, and will probably be in as a UI animation like the one above too. I might be able to put hands in the frame as well, I guess that wouldn't be too hard.

Yeah, that is the issue. I might be able to put like a "face window" or something to get a better look at her expressions, but I didn't want the pose to get too contorted.

Well, a lot of things are kind of a mess right now, bits and pieces that half work, like taking a car engine apart to fix it, so I don't plan to have it all put back together in a functional form for a little while yet. With any luck the next release will be the last test before the 1.0 release build.

POV is just so much more exciting than anything else. That's why there are so many POV titles and even some interactive ones that play like a game.

If the face view also had her breasts hanging there and bouncing with the motions I would be speachless.

Heh, that would be a lot trickier. Chances are that it would just be a window of the default paperdoll model. See, the problem with doing any of these sprites is that they have to take into account every possible change. I have to make every clothing option I offer, every hair option, the positioning of the clothes (like upskirt or not), all those details. So if I tried to do a "front view" inset that showed more than just the face, I would need to draw a new body pose to match the back view, and then also draw every possible top clothing for it, that'd be dozens of images.

One thing I could do though, perhaps, is add a little "bounce" to her breasts that would make them slightly visible in the PoV frame. I mean, you wouldn't see much, just the edge of her left breast would bounce into frame from behind her arm, but that's doable.

I chose other. I figure if it's not too much maybe have a button that changes the view.

Yeah, I can't really do this. The reason is that while the current side view works for some combinations of features, it doesn't work for everything that's currently available, and updating it so that it is would take a lot of work. I'd rather focus on one view or the other, and then spend that extra work on other parts of the project. I will likely leave the original version in as an Easter Egg of some sort, like something you could get mess with outside of the real game, but it won't be an active way to play those scenes.
