I have to agree with you, this wasn't so great for me. I didn't find the kid scary and that dog breed was demonized which was not fair to the dogs. No one lives but the kid, but it's very open ended, and unsatisfying. Too many things just didn't flow. The parents just accept this woman into their home as a nanny without checking her out, or asking for her, and when she doesn't listen to their wishes, they don't fire her ass? I had never seen The Omen, but I did find it meh, and Hereditary, is what I voted for and I'd sad I still haven't watched it. maybe next year.
