I loved this movie when I saw it, and I’m just dying to answer Ashleigh’s question. Yes, when someone dies, if you want to travel across state lines with them, you need to have a burial/transit permit. States differ in who is allowed to apply for a permit or get the death certificate process started. In Ohio, a licensed funeral director is responsible for that, and hospitals or nursing homes will only release a body to be picked up by to a funeral director, tissue donor center, etc. Is someone dies at home, is they are under hospice care, usually a hospice nurse will call us to come pick the person up OR the police and investigator from the coroner’s office will come to determine if they need to take the person in for an autopsy or if the death is related to natural causes, in which they or the family will call us to come pick the person up. If the person isn’t under hospice care, I always ask to speak to the officer on scene or call them to confirm the coroner was called and released the body because one time I had a lady call us to come get her mom (who was not under hospice care). I told her she had to call the police or report the death to the county’s coroner before we could pick up…..well she didn’t do that until the following day (her mom passed the day before she called us) and then she got upset that she would have to wait longer for us to arrive at her home to get her mom because she’d have to “get more ice”…..true story and happened to me when I was in my apprenticeship.

Are you going to post the full watchalong? I watch that instead of the youtube edit, I usually just go to the youtube edit to hear your thoughts afterwards.
